Sri Lalita Sahasranama, you must know this. The Ritual of reading this hymn have been in place for a long time in South India.
However, in north India, there are fewer people studying it in everyday life.
In ancient times in Srividya Sadhana, there was a rule to recite Lalita Sahasranama as a rotation to increase the divine energy of the seeker’s body before initiation.
As Srividya is called Kadi Vidya i.e. she did it by Kamadeva. Kamdev did not take Srividya initiation earlier. Kamadev’s mother Shrimahalakshmi had asked her to recite the first good fortune of the Ashtattar Stotra. After the lesson, Kamdev had a dream of Goddess Lalita.
So these are all one order and follow its rules. If anyone does the recitation of her hymn Sahasranama Kavach, etc. before any Dashamahavidya or Upmahagidya practice, then the goddess herself opens the way ahead of the practice.
Each spiritual practice is as deep and long as the sea. Which we cannot measure depth and length.
Therefore, it is necessary to adopt any Goddess or Goddess in the form of Mother. To get this blessing, themes like Kavach Stotra Sahasranama etc. have been generated.
That is why the stotra begins with the word “Srimata” in Srilalita Sahasranama. You must have a relationship before you can enter into spiritual practice.
Relationships are formed by unwavering trust. What would happen if someone tried to raise an elephant or lioness in the house on the basis of money? You must have understood very well.
You don’t know what that elephant or lioness is, you don’t know how to form a relationship with it, how will the qualities of the two be the same? Is this a thing to buy with money?
There are quite a few things.
You will also find mantras in books.
But it is not possible to be consistent with mantras just by chanting. In order to understand the hidden female form in the mantra, it is necessary to create a spiritual connection with the Goddess, that power form, by the Kavach Stotraadi activities.
That is why in the first Srilalita Sahasranama, the word Shrimata started with this word. The word “Sri” does not mean economic Lakshmi all the time. Sri means the power that shows superiority. Mother is Shri Swaroop, that is, she is superior.
